Wilderness Survival Guides

Today I have another example of information you can pay for or download the same information for free.

FM 21-76 US ARMY SURVIVAL MANUAL  Google it and you will notice you can go to Amazon and purchase it for a little over $10.  Or, you can go to:

Obtaining Medical Information

During a survival situation one of the most important pieces of information you can have in a reference library is a book on how to deal with medical assistance.  The standard handbook that accompanies a first aid kit is OK, but the information is limited to what is in the kit and not much else.

A standard AMA home medical guide is good to have and you can usually obtain one pretty cheaply at yard sales and on Ebay.  But why pay for one when you can get on of the best ones around for free?

Collecting Information

One of the most important aspects of planning for survival during any disaster; be it long or short term, is information.  How you collect and store that information can take many forms.

The first thing many look to is creating a collection of print books on survival.  Just go to amazon.com and use the term “survival” in their bookstore and you will find over 38,000 results.
